The IEEE-RAS Response Robotics Seasonal School and Workshop (RRSS+W) is co-located, and shares many of its sessions, with the Texas Public Safety Robotics Summit (TXPS).
It consists of several lectures on the focus topics, plus opportunities for students to join practical exercises and other activities of the TXPS in topics of their choosing. Unlike previous years, due to the need to co-ordinate space resources with the TXPS, the lectures will be earlier on the event, with practicals the focus of the later part of the event.
You will notice that much of the time in the schedule, particularly later in the event, is marked as “Practical Groups”. During the Practical Group Planning session, we will go through the different options for practical groups that students may join later in the week.
Further information on practical groups that students may join are available from the TXPS website. Note that RRSS+W attendees are also considered full TXPS attendees and are encouraged to join any session that they are interested in that is not otherwise full.
Many of the speakers and vendors will also be present for the whole event and many of the vendors also bring representatives with engineering expertise. Attendees are encouraged to use the “Practical Group” time to connect and network with others at the TXPS in their area of interest and arrange for one-on-one discussions and demonstrations.
Final agenda, minor adjustments may still happen. Last updated 2024-03-01.
